To Help the Poor

The Bible tells us that caring for those less fortunate, those having hard times, is part of the Gospel. It is one way to worship God.

Our church gets several requests a year from those who need help just to get through the next week. In order to best help these precious creations of God, we have put together a "Help Bag."

This bag contains enough food for one person for a week or so (depending on how much the person eats). Since those who ask for our help generally have a house with cooking facilities, we have invested in foods that can be cooked and go a long way. Each bag contains some recipes, as well as some hints on how to make your money go further.

Each bag also contains:

  • 1 bag of rice
  • 1 bag of macaroni
  • 1 container of oats

  • 1 quart of Milk-boxed
  • Canned Beans
  • Peanut butter
  • 1 can of Tuna
  • 1 can of some other meat

    •  3 cans of fruit

      • 3 cans of vegetables
      • 1 jar of pasta sauce.
A roll of Toilet paper (we can get 4 rolls for $1 at Dollar Tree)

(Content subject to what is in the store at the moment)
